The investment is made within the applicant’s production plant, as one functional unit. The concrete savings that will be realized by the implementation of this investment are total energy savings of about 230,000.00 kWh per year, the cost of which is 77% lower compared to existing consumption, and reduction of CO2 emissions of about 53 tons per year, which is also 77% lower compared to the existing one. This project is implemented through two measures, namely the revitalization of electrical installations and the installation of LED lighting in the project unit, and the installation of new systems for the production of energy from the sun and the installation of solar power plants for their own needs.

Project objectives: The objectives solar power plant construction project of the Carpentry Ćuk are to reduce the electricity consumption of the Carpentry Ćuk production plant and thus ensure savings per unit of delivered product, and to reduce CO2 emissions by using renewable sources instead of taking energy from the Croatian electricity grid. This investment is expected to save about 80% less energy supplied from the grid (by 177,061 kWh/year), and reduce CO2 emissions (due to power plant operation) in the amount of 41,575 kg CO2/year. Consequently, this investment is considered to be very justified and useful both for the applicant and for the environment and sustainable development.
